திருகோணமலை பட்டினமும் சூழலும் பிரதேச சபை இலங்கை இராணூவம், இலங்கை பொலிஸ், சர்வோதயம் மற்றும் வைத்திய அதிகாரி பணிமனை உப்புவௌி ஆகிபவற்றுடன் இணைந்து 23.01.2022 அன்று டெங்கு ஒழிப்பு விழிப்புணர்வு சிரமதான நிகழ்வை ஆண்டான்குளம், சிங்கபுர மற்றும் சுமேதங்கபுர ஆகிய டெங்கு அபாய இடங்களாக அடையாளப்படுத்தப்பட்ட இங்களில் சமூக மட்ட அமைப்புக்களுடம் தன்னார்வலர்களுடன் இணைந்து ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தது.

As another collective attempt to eradicate dengue, a shramadana was organized by Trincomalee Town and Gravets Pradeshiya to clean the cities with the objective of preventing dengue in line with the mandate of the National Dengue Control Unit "Clean Environment and health Tomorrow" at identified dengue risk areas in Uppuveli PS Andankulam, Singapura, Summedangapura. Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Police Sarvadaya, and Medical Office of the Health joined hands with volunteers in support of the fight against the deadly epidemic.

The dengue threat had been spreading among these areas in a considerable manner the shramadana added to this continuous effort. Probable mosquito breeding places were identified and duly cleaned up to encourage people to maintain a mosquito-free environment in their neighborhoods and placed a few Garbage Bins in common places for safe garbage removals.
