திருகோணமலை பட்டணமும் சூழலும் பிரதேச சபையின் மற்றுமொரு சேவையான குறைந்த கட்டணத்தில் விவசாய காணிகளை உழவு இயந்திரத்தின் மூலம் பண்படுத்தல் (உழவு சேவை) ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது இச் சேவையானது நிலைபேறான விவசாயத்தை முன்னிறுத்தி பசியை ஒழித்து உணவு பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் ஊட்டச்சத்தினை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கோடும் நிலைபறான நுகர்வு மற்றும் உற்பத்தி வழிமுறைகளை உறுதி செய்தல் எனும் நிலைபேறான அபிவிருத்தி இலக்குகளுக்கு வலுச்சேர்க்கும் வகையில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இதன் ஆரம்ப நிகழ்வுகள் சுமேதங்கரபுவில் அமைந்துள்ள வயல் காணியில் கொரவ பிரதேச சபை தலைவரின் தலைமையில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. வணக்கத்துக்குரிய மதத்தலைவர்கள் உள்ளூராட்சி ஆணையாளர், உள்ளூராட்சி உதவி ஆணையாளர், பிதேச சபை செயலாளர், உத்தியோகதத்தர்கள் மற்றும் விவசாய சங்க பிரதிநிதிகள் பொதுமக்கள் கலந்துகொண்டு இருந்தனர மேலும் இச்சேவை தற்போது அனைத்து பிரதேசங்களுக்கும் விஸ்தரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Trincomalee Town and Gravets Pradeshiya Sabha is initiated the receded price tillage services programme to support the local paddy farmers aiming to encourage local agricultural production, safe and nutritious food and self-sufficient in agriculture production and to reduce the dependency on imported agricultural goods.

Trincomalee Town and Gravets Pradeshiya Sabha has taken many steps for improving local agriculture production, as the continuation process the Tillage Service Programme is officially commenced by Honorable Chairman of Trincomalee Town and Gravets Pradeshiya Sabha on 16th September 2022 at Sumedangarapura, Venerable thero, Commissioner of Local Government, EPC, Assistance Commissioner of Local Government Trincomalee, Hon. Members and Secretary & Staff of T&GPS and representatives of framer organization and public were participated in this event. The service is being extended in the pradeshiya sabha Area.
